KATE TRUSCOTT | GENERAL MANAGER

Kate Truscott wears many hats for the Kevin Lyman Group, acting as both General Manager and Brand Partnership Manager.  With an unstoppable work-ethic and genuine spirit, she consistently seeks out, creates, and implements strategic partnerships that allow companies to target key audiences and create lasting impressions across all the KLG properties.  It’s always about developing authentic business relationships for both festival and brand clients; the fun times and lasting friendships are just a bonus.

Prior to coming to KLG in 2006, Kate held various management touring positions with music artists like Chevelle, My Chemical Romance, and Fort Minor. Kate grew up in New England and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder. After starting her career in Chicago, Kate moved to Nashville to launch the KLG office.

Kate credits her military family background for her workhorse drive. “I just keep going until the job is done,” she says.

MEL PIERCE | OPERATIONS MANAGER

Melanie Pierce is a passionate and fiery hands-on team member.  As Operations Manager, she handles the planning, organization, and execution of key production elements for festival and brand clients.  With a DIY can-do ethos originating from her work in the non-profit sector, Mel is always finding efficiencies for KLG clients.

Prior to her work at KLG, Melanie was able to create one of the first beer festivals to benefit a nonprofit organization.  Leveraging her long-standing, sincere relationships with dozens of breweries and their brewers, Mel founded the Brewbies Festival – a powerhouse, 100% nonprofit annual event that over nine years raised $450,000 for Keep A Breast’s Education and Support Programs.

“Punk rock’s get-it-done mindset really resonated with me, but I’m a nice balance between punk and hippie,” Mel says with a good-natured laugh. “I always want to incorporate giving back into what I do, and that’s what KLG does organically.”
